GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Specifications & Release date
GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will the bigger brother of GeForce GTX 1080 which is currently the flagship graphics card from Nvidia having latest Pascal GPU architecture. It will compete with the latest GeForce GTX Titan X (Pascal) or Nvidia Titan X which is currently the most powerful single graphics card from nvidia.
It is expected that GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will offer nearly same performance as that of GTX Titan X (Pascal) but at a lower price. Both GTX 1080 Ti and GTX Titan X (Pascal) have 16nm manufacturing process and consist of same number of transistors i.e. 12 billion. GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be launched at CES 2017 event by Nvidia.
If we compare both these cards then GTX Titan X (Pascal) has 3584 CUDA cores opposed to 3328 CUDA cores in the upcoming GTX 1080 Ti. Even though GTX 1080 Ti has slightly lesser number of CUDA cores or pixel pipelines but this does not lower its performance because of higher clock frequencies. The base and boost clock frequencies in GTX 1080 Ti is almost 100MHz more than in GTX Titan X. The power consumption of both these cards are same at 250W. Radeon RX 490 Specifications & Release date
Radeon RX 490 will be the flagship graphics card in the Radeon RX series from AMD. Currently Radeon RX 480 tops the Radeon RX series Polaris graphics cards. Along with GeForce GTX 1080 Ti it is also one of the most anticipated and awaiting graphics cards in the year 2017. According to some reports RX 490 will be dual GPU card but it is still a rumor. The GPU used in the Radeon RX 490 will be either dual Polaris 10 GPU or Vega 10 GPU.
