When it comes to PC fan sizes, 120mm and 140mm are the standard and most commonly used sizes for the majority of PC Cases. The biggest Case fan size includes 200mm, which is supported by only a limited number of PC Cases. Nowadays, some new PC Cases support 180mm and 160mm fan sizes, which are somewhat non-standard, and their availability is also quite low. I have already covered 180mm fans, but here I cover information on the very uncommon 160 mm fan size.

160mm fans are a slightly larger version of 140mm fans, and because of their larger size and larger fan blades, they generally deliver higher airflow and generate lower noise than 140mm fans. Some 160mm fans have 140mm fan mounting points and can fit in PC Cases that support 140mm fans, provided the PC Cases have 20mm of extra clearance on the sides. 160mm fans are harder to find than other sizes because they are often custom fans pre-installed in PC Cases and not available for purchase separately. The unavailability of the original 160mm fan (which comes with the PC Case) can be an issue if the pre-installed 160mm fan fails, leaving you stranded. The front length and width of the fan are 190mm x 170mm, but the back side of the frame is 160mm x 160mm. Also, the fan is 30mm thick. Due to its odd dimensions, it can only fit in Lian Li LANCOOL 216 and compatible PC Cases from Lian Li. The fan is optimized for high static pressure and also has good airflow. The fan comes with Hydraulic Bearing and spins at 500 – 1600 RPM. It generates airflow of 118.85 CFM and static pressure of 3.10 mmH2O. The fan is on the quieter side, with a maximum noise rating of 32 dBA.

The fan has dual LED channels, one on the outer rim and the other on the shaft of the fan blades. The ARGB LED Lighting is bright and looks nice when lit up.
