AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT is one of the fastest mid-range graphics cards for 1440p gaming. The card is released along with the RX 7800 XT, its bigger brother, and is also placed below it in the Radeon RX 7000 series based on RDNA 3 GPU architecture. The closest competitor of RX 7700 XT from Nvidia is the RTX 4060 Ti which is a very power efficient card for 1440p gaming. However, when it comes to gaming performance (without Ray Tracing), the RX 7700 XT is around 15% faster than the RTX 4060 Ti. The Ray Tracing gaming performance of both cards is almost identical.
RX 7700 XT is based on the RDNA 3 GPU architecture and uses the chiplet design for its GPU. Here, the main GPU core components reside on the GCD (Graphics Compute Die) that is present at the center and the memory cache controllers are present on multiple MCDs (Memory Cache Dies) that surround the GCD on the same package. The GCD (Graphics Compute Die) is built on the smaller 5nm fabrication process and the MCDs (Memory Cache Dies) are built on the 6nm manufacturing process. The card comes with 3456 Stream Processors, 54 Ray Accelerators, and 108 AI Accelerators. The card has 12 GB GDDR6 memory having 192-interface and runs at a speed of 18Gbps. The card also comes equipped with 48MB Infinity Cache, an ultra-fast cache memory that helps to achieve a peak bandwidth figure of 1995 GB/s.
The card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenGL 4.6, Vulkan, PCI-Express 4.0, Real-Time Ray Tracing, HDMI 2.1, Resizable BAR, FreeSync, FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), AV1 Hardware Encode/Decode and DisplayPort 2.1. The power consumption of the card is 245W for the reference specs. There is no reference model available and only custom models from various AIBs. The card faced criticism because of its not-so-attractive pricing because it is only 50 US dollars cheaper than its bigger brother RX 7800 XT. So, to help you find the best competitively priced RX 7700 XT models, I am listing down the best value RX 7700 XT models in both dual-fan and triple-fan designs. These RX 7700 XT models are priced the same as the official base MSRP or very close to it.
Best Value Dual Fan RX 7700 XT
Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7700 XT
[Good Build & Performance, Semi-passive Cooling, Metal Backplate, Runs Cool & Quiet, Fuse Protection]
The best dual-fan RX 7700 XT card that offers great value and does not compromise on performance either. It is a non-overclocked edition model and comes with the official reference clock speeds only. The cooling on the card is handled by Dual-X Cooling Technology which consists of an aluminum heatsink with four copper heatpipes and two dual-ball bearings fans. The fans feature an Angular Velocity Fan Blade design and the edges of the blades are connected forming an outer ring for providing a double layer of downward air pressure which alongside the air pressure on the outer ring of the Axial fan, results in up to 44% more downward air pressure and up to 19% more airflow for a quieter and cooler operation compared to the previous generations fans. The Intelligent Fan Control provides a semi-passive cooling mode of operation where fans remain OFF during low GPU temperatures and turn ON automatically when GPU temperature increases with load.
The card is 280mm in length and has a 2.5-slot design. A fancy metal backplate gives rigidity to the card and protects the PCB against any damage. To prevent the components from short-circuit, the card comes with built-in fuse protection. For power the card uses two 8-pin PCIe connectors and a 700W PSU is recommended by the manufacturer. The card supports Sapphire TriXX software that lets you tweak, customize, and monitor important settings or parameters. Display connectivity options include two DisplayPort 2.1 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports.

Gigabyte Radeon RX 7700 XT GAMING OC 12G
[Dual BIOS, Semi-passive Cooling, Efficient Cooler, RGB Lighting, Silent & Good Thermals]
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7700 XT GAMING OC 12G is probably the best RX 7700 XT card when considering all parameters that include price, performance, cooling, build quality, noise levels, looks, and features. It is an overclocked edition card having a GPU Boost Clock of 2599 MHz, 55MHz more than the reference. For cooling, the card uses the WINDFORCE Cooling System which consists of a large aluminum heatsink with seven composite copper heatpipes, a large copper baseplate that directly touches the GPU, and three fans. These are alternate spinning fans where the middle fan spins in the opposite direction than the two to reduce air turbulence and to increase air pressure for better cooling performance. The fans feature a unique blade design that has a triangular fan edge and a 3D stripe curve on the blade surface for increasing airflow and static pressure. The 3D active fan provides semi-passive cooling where fans remain OFF during low GPU loads and they start spinning again when the GPU load increases and GPU temperature crosses the threshold value. The card also comes with Dual BIOS with Silent and OC modes and you can switch between these modes using a physical switch which is located on the side of the card.
The card is 302mm in length and has a 2.7 Slot design. A metal backplate is provided that enhances the structure of the card while protecting the PCB and also helps in cooling. The card shroud is made of plastic but it is of very good quality and feels sturdy. The RGB lighting can be seen on the side of the shroud and supports RGB fusion for easy customization through Gigabyte Control Center software. The software also allows you to overclock the card and change advanced settings/parameters like clock speed, voltage, fan mode, and power target in real time. There are also power indicator LEDs present on the card that flash when an abnormal power supply is detected by the card. The card requires two 8-pin PCI-E connectors and a minimum of 700W PSU. Display connectivity options include two DisplayPort 2.1 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports.
