Nvidia and AMD are the two topmost manufacturers of graphics card processors or GPUs in the world. Both Nvidia and AMD make gaming as well as workstation or professional GPUs (Graphics Processing Unit). Graphics Cards from Nvidia and AMD are made by their licensed & official Partners who are authorized to make graphics cards for them. These manufacturers get the GPUs and PCB design layout from Nvidia and AMD for making Graphics Cards. Some of them may design their own customized PCB layout and circuit to cut down the cost or increase performance.
A graphics card consists of many other major components besides GPU. It has VRAM or Video Memory, VRM (Voltage Regulator Module), Capacitors, Resistors, and a Cooling Unit that can be either passive or active. All these components are put together on a PCB by these graphics card manufacturers and after that, they are ready to be sold in the market.
Graphics Cards having the same GPU from different manufacturers or brands may not have the same performance and features. This is because different manufacturers may have their own board layout, memory capacity, type & speed, components quality, and cooler. Most of the manufacturers overclock their graphics cards for better performance, some of them bundle free games and some provide more warranty. All these things ultimately affect the performance and efficiency of graphics cards having the same GPU. This is why graphics cards having the same GPU from different brands have different pricing. Some are cheaper and some are a bit more expensive. Graphics cards from higher reputed brands are usually costlier than the other brands. Here in this post, I am going to provide you with a list of top graphics card manufacturers & brands and tell you about their graphics cards.

Zotac offers graphics cards from every segment whether it is budget, mid-range, or high-end graphics cards. Zotac may be a smaller brand, but it makes good graphics cards, and you can trust them. I also own a Zotac graphics card.
Galax (previous Galaxy) is a pretty decent company that makes affordable and reliable Nvidia graphics cards. Galax offers a complete range of graphics cards from Nvidia and they are a bit cheaper and more affordable than the more famous brands mentioned above. In Europe, it is known by the brand name KFA2.
PNY is an American company that makes graphics cards, flash memory cards, flash drives, chargers, adapters, and other accessories. PNY makes both gaming and workstation graphics cards for Nvidia. It is the officially licensed partner of Nvidia to make professional or workstation graphics cards. PNY gaming graphics cards are well priced but they are not much popular and have availability issues.
Palit is a graphics card manufacturer that mainly makes Nvidia Graphics Cards. It is a fairly popular brand and offers some cheap graphics cards. Availability is also a concern for Palit Graphics Cards.
PowerColor is an AMD Radeon Graphics Cards manufacturer from Taiwan. It is a good brand and if you are looking for an AMD Graphics Card then PowerColor is one of the best.
Sapphire also makes AMD Graphics Cards. It offers AMD Radeon graphics cards from all ranges including budget, mid-range, and high-end graphics cards. Sapphire is one of the most popular brands for AMD Radeon graphics cards.
Inno3D is a Chinese manufacturer of Nvidia Graphics Cards. Their graphics cards offer good performance but they are a bit hard to find because of availability issues.

- How to Find out Which Graphics Card do you have?
Which Graphics Card Brand is the Best?
It is true that some graphics card brands are better than others and graphics cards from top brands do cost a bit more than smaller or lesser-known brands. If there are no budget constraints then the best brands that I recommend are Asus, MSI, EVGA, and Gigabyte. Also, graphics cards from these top brands are available worldwide and have good support. If you are on a budget then you may look for other brands and get the best deal or the cheapest graphics card from the brands mentioned above. Hello I was wondering Manli graphic cards. How are they compare to the list you mentioned in this article. Their website is www.manli.com Would like your feedback.
Hello, Frankly never heard of them in my entire gaming and hardware career but after checking their website they do seem decent. However, they cannot be compared to the top brands like Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac etc. If you are getting a great deal on Manli graphics cards then only they are worth buying otherwise not.
Thank you for replying. I saw that they are a PC Partner, Here is their website. http://www.pcpartner.com/en/index.php?m=Brands
Anyway thank you for the feedback.
You are always welcome.
KFA² is Galax but in Europe.
Yes you are totally right.
Hi might as well add this to your Other brands:
Kinology(Chinese but they’re in techpowerup)
Added. Thanks for the tip !
In this budget you can get Gigabyte Geforce GT 710 2GB DDR5 at best.
Yes it would be good and much better than the GT 710 and Palit is a reputable company.
Frankly never heard of this Nextron graphics card brand.
nehru place delhi
Then i would suggest amazon.
It is not better than GT 730.
Pls include Afox
Included and thanks for the tip.
Are Galaxy graphics card good? I am planning to buy RTX 2080 and the Galaxy seems to be the only viable option as my budget can’t go further. It only has two coolers though, so I’m not sure about its cooling capabilities.
Yes Galaxy is a reputable brand and their cards are pretty good both in performance and quality. Dual fans are enough for RTX 2080 so don’t worry about it.
I’m going to build a PC with Ryzen 5 2600 to meet my photo processing and editing needs. Can you suggest which GPU I use? RX 570 4GB /RX580 4GB/ GTX1050ti 4 GB/GTX 1060 3 GB?
As I’m using AMD processor will the use of AMD graphics card give me better performance?
Should I use motherboard and graphics card from the same manufacturer to get ?
I would suggest you to go with 8GB Radeon RX 580 as there is not much of a price difference between 4GB and 8GB one. There is no such thing that you will get better performance with AMD processor and graphics card. Also, you don’t have to get the graphics card from the same manufacturer that your motherboard is from.
hii akshat can you help me with chose AMD card manufacture that provides me with an international warranty and does AMD provide an international warranty price as the price in India is stupid so am thinking to shop from Amazon or Newegg
I think Asus does provide global warranty but you may to ask their support for more clarification.
i don’t think they provide the only so far I know evga and I have doubt about AMD i post in there form but no one help me
HI I have Dell Optiplex 9010 desktop, Intel i7 3.4ghz 16gb, AMD Radeon HD 7770 GFX seem very poor, which should I get GTX 1050 ti or 950 ti? I want best or better graphic video for gamer and photo/video edits.
Go with the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti as it is much better than GTX 950 Ti. Here are the best GTX 1050 Ti cards for your reference https://graphicscardhub.com/best-gtx-1050-ti/
Ok which brand best GeForce GTX 1050 ti?
You can go for either Zotac or Gigabyte. Zotac cards are great for the price and offer good performance too. I have been using Zotac cards for years.
Akshat your comments are really very useful and educative as well as value adding for new comers.
Thanks Rohan for your appreciation.
I totally agree with you, great to read provided advice. Well done! Regards from Ireland
Helpful article – thank you for explaining everything.
The only thing that article lacked is your opinion and or their quality/performance/reputation info on VisionTek, Afox and Manly brands. I am personally not interested in those brands at all, but some1 else might be 🙂
Thinking on getting a Sapphire rx 570 4gb for $119 on discount. Is it worth it or good? Do you have other suggestions for same prince range or a little more?
At this price this is the best. Go for it.
Hi, I am choosing between Asus TUF GTX 1660 and Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1660 OC. What should determine which to choose?
Definitely Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1660 OC because of better cooler, more video outputs and overall better build quality.
Helo sir I’m looking to buy gpu which is better rx5700 or ASUS rtx dual 2060 6gb
Radeon RX 5700 is better.
Which brand should I buy ?
Go for the Sapphire or Powercolor. If you are unable to find these brands then you can also opt for Gigabyte.
hi sir is Inno3D GT710 2GB PCI Express Graphic Card good graphics card for computer what about service and quality please replay
GT 710 is an entry level graphics card that is not meant for gaming. Inno3D service in India is very limited but cards are good.
Helo sir im looking to buy monitor ,are acer ED323QUR 32inch are good or not
It is a very good IPS 1440p monitor (especially for gaming) for the price.
Awhile ago, I bought an Alienware Aurora R7 computer (manufactured by Dell). The specs indicated I was also buying an installed NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card with 8 GB GDDR5. Recently, I was checking the ports on the graphics card because I was considering buying a VR headset. The cables did not fit very securely and it almost appeared to me as if the card might have not been properly installed. I called NVidia and asked them if they could provide me with a link to the card so that I could see a photo of its physical appearance. NVidia then informed me that Dell/Alienware only uses NVidia chips, but Dell itself actually manufactures the balance of the card – not NVidia. I noticed that Dell/Alienware weren’t mentioned in your list of graphics card manufacturers for Nvidia mentioned above. Are you aware of this? If accurate, I find this VERY misleading. I was totally aware that certain companies are authorized by NVidia to create their own versions of GPU’s, like Zotac or MSI, for example. As you pointed out, “Some of them may design their own customized PCB layout and circuit as to cut down cost or to increase performance.” IF I had known my computer had a Dell or Alienware GeForce GTX GPU 1070 (instead of an NVidia card, as advertised), I likely would not have bought it. This is my 3rd Alienware computer, & I haven’t had the best of luck with them. A computer technician and myself watched what I thought was an NVidia GPU burst into flames as he was exploring problems I was experiencing with my first Alienware. (Neither he nor I have EVER seen a graphics card do that.) Are you aware of Alienware’s practice in this regard; do you have any comments about this practice; and do you have any opinion about their graphics cards based on NVidia? Thanks very much.
It is always not worth buying a pre-built gaming PC especially from Dell because they cheap out on important components that mainly include RAM, Graphics Card and sometimes CPU Cooler. Well, Dell also does not manufacture their own cards but use the founders edition cards in some cases and in some they have it built from some Chinese manufacturer. These cards are very cheaply made with bad coolers, custom PCBs and what not.
Love your reviews and all your info, thanks (and great site)! Could you please help me narrow down a GTX 1660 Super choice. Rather than necessarily picking a top choice, could you please pick of these 4 (assuming they can all be purchased at about the same price) which one of these you would LEAST LIKELY BUY (in other words, knock one out):
I am needing one that is going to last at least 2 years (more likely 3) so longevity/quality is important. Also looking for good/reasonable memory overclocking capabilities as well. Considering this, which would you most likely remove from contention?
Thanks for the appreciation. I would certainly avoid Asus TUF and MSI Ventus because of their bad coolers. You can get either the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER AMP or Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6G. You can check them out at https://graphicscardhub.com/best-gtx-1660-super/
Thank you for your reply 🙂
I know the MSI Ventus uses TORX 2.0 fans (whereas their Super Gaming X uses TORX 3.0 (and I know is one of the very best of the 1660 supers (but I am costed out unfortunately)). However, the Ventus is supposed to also be quiet and cool – is the TORX 2.0 that much worse than the 3.0? — and of the bottom two you singled out, am I right and guessing the Ventus is probably the better card over the Asus Tuff? Finally, regarding the ZOTAC Super Amp – I know the drawback of the card is that it is noisier, but I am also reading that it runs in power limiter most of the time which complicates overclocking — is this going to be only a minor issue or a more significant one?
Between MSI Ventus and Asus Tuf, MSI Ventus is clearly better. Yes, ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER AMP has power limit set to almost TDP of the card which means you can’t overclock it higher. It is not an issue because it comes pre-overclocked from the factory and I don’t see any point of overclocking it more.
i want buy stock minnig (3month)mining xfx rx 580 gts xxx 8b is it good or maybe low lifespan?
Don’t ever buy a used mining graphics card because there is a lot a risk involved in it.
tnx man …
Which card is best machine learning, deep learning
The RTX 20 series from Nvidia that include RTX 2080, RTX 2070 SUPER, RTX 2060 SUPER etc.
Hey I’m looking for a graphics card that I can get the most performance out of with a graphics card budget of 300 Australian dollars could you help me pls!! Thx

Hello! I am Ali from Afghanistan. I appreciate your hard working on your blog to provide authentic info about new tech. I want to buy a graphic card for my pc, but I am not really sure what kind of these graphics series are best for my pc. Also I do not know that my pc will be able to support the new graphic card or not. I will write my pc’s features down here, and I want to you to tell me that which kind of graphics card is the maximim range for my pc to support it.
Core i 5/Optiplax 990
Ram 8 GB
Didicated VGA 1 GB/ shared 2 GB
Hard disk 500
Thanks very much!
Is this a small form factor (SFF) PC?
Thanks for your responding! I think it is personal computer(Desktop).
Can you provide me the link for your PC?
It is a SFF desktop with 240W PSU. I suggest you low profile GeForce GTX 1030 (GDDR5 version). Here are the models that I recommend:
1) Gigabyte GeForce GT 1030 Low Profile 2G
2) MSI GeForce GT 1030 2G LP OC
3) ZOTAC GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5
Dear Akshat Ji..why did everyone recommend nvidia gpu over amd/ati radeon gpu? and please mention the most reliable nvidia gpu manufacturer and amd gpu manufacturer..
Generally, Nvidia cards are cheaper, have better drivers and wider range right from budget to mid-range segment.
Can you please please tell that which is the best graphics card for gaming and overall use in price 20000-25000 and also pls tell me from which manufacturer brand I should buy it that it will work best for gaming.
I would suggest Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6G.
Hello Sir I’m from Philippines asking for advice. I’m stuck between buying
Zotac Rtx 2060 super mini twin fan – P22,000(34,000 rupees)
or Palit Rtx 2060 Super Jetstream – P25,000(38,000 rupees) I just converted it with google
Are the non-AMP version of Zotac gpus good?
My main concern is if the Palit worth the extra money? Which is better? those are the only options I can buy in my place. A reply will be appreciated 😀
Go with the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER MINI. No point in paying extra money for the Palit one. The non-AMP versions of the Zotac cards are good (especially of the high-end cards) but they are overclocked a little lower.
Kuroutoshikou is great under-rated gem brand. Ordered an 2080 Ti, delivered in 4 days from Japan > Europe. Opened it to check out of curiosity, and everything ”Made in Japan”. Performance wise, doing amazing. 4k Ultra in new games, never under 110fps, and temps max 70c.
Hello, I am in the market for a new Graphics Card. I have been specifically looking at the RTX 2060. Here are links to the ones I have been looking at that are in my price range. Could you tell me which of these if you had to choose you would go with and why? If none of those and you could suggest something better but stay at those prices ranges could you refer me to which cards they may be and why?
I would get the EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB KO because it offers great price to performance ratio. Also, it has good build quality and cooler. However, if you are comfortable with AMD then I would highly suggest SAPPHIRE PULSE RX 5600 XT which is quite cheaper, has great build quality and is as fast or even better than EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB KO. Check at https://graphicscardhub.com/best-rx-5600-xt/
iam inbetween the evga and the msi. i do like your ref on TWIN FROZR VI cooling solution which very quiet in operation and provides good cooling to the msi graphics card.
Now iam getting probably the 3070 over the 2080 super why? i dont know lolo.
but i want quiet will either be ok for me
I would like to know will RTX 3080 run smoothly on my i7-7600k or lower like i7-6th gen ?? i dont want to have any bottleneck here and thanks.
Well, with Core-i7 7700K you will face major bottleneck at 1080p but at 1440p Ultra & 4K Ultra I think you should be quite fine.
thanks for the fast reply bro, i meant i7-6700k with my supported 1440p ( 2 K )
Hello Akshat Sir,
Will geforce gt 710 work with 4k tv as a video dispenser at 30 fps? or perhaps 60?
I never play games, just office work and sometimes casual photo editing as a hobby.
Thanks a lot.
Well it is not a gaming card but maybe you can run very old games at decent FPS.
I plan to access it for purely professional zero-gaming purposes.
Will it at least let me work on Excel ? or browse internet ?
ArcGIS and Hobby Photoshop, mild video editing etc on 4k?
Maybe even watch movies occasionally ?
or should i buy a new card, which i really don’t want to ?
For the purposes that you have stated, I think you should be fine with the GT 710.
One more thing!
I have a second pc with radeon hd 4540.
Can i do all those things i mentioned earlier on that ?.
i.e. “zero-gaming purposes, Excel, browse internet, ArcGIS and Hobby Photoshop, mild video editing, movies occasionally”.
Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.
Only basic work like Excel, browse internet and movies.

Yes, it is a pretty good deal.
Akshat! You are amazing! I cannot believe how much help you have given these readers and for such a long time!
Thank You, Paul.
What about Axel3d Graphics Card 580 8GB
I have mentioned AXLE3D in the post. It is a decent brand that offers Nvidia and AMD graphics cards at competitive prices.
