GeForce RTX 2070 is the third graphics card in the RTX 20 series. It comes after RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 which are high-end graphics cards for 4K gaming, while RTX 2070 is kind of a higher mid-range graphics card and the bigger brother of RTX 2060. Just like its siblings, the card is built on Turing GPU architecture with 14nm fabrication process. It comes with 2304 CUDA Cores and 8GB GDDR6 memory having 256-bit interface. Moreover, it also comes with RT Cores for Real-Time Ray Tracing and Tensor Cores for AI, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning.
RTX 2070 is around 30% faster than the GTX 1070 and 7% to 10% faster than the GTX 1080 in regular games (without Ray Tracing and DLSS). This is a powerful 1440p card and you can also game at 4K with some of the graphics settings tweaked down or turned off. The card supports all the major APIs and features that include DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.5, Vulkan, G-Sync, Nvidia Ansel, and GPU Boost. It also includes a USB Type-C connector on the rear for VirtualLink that lets you connect next-generation VR headsets directly to it. However, the card does not support SLI which is a bit of a letdown because GTX 1070 does.
RTX 2070 is available in Founders Edition from Nvidia which is a pre-overclocked RTX 2070 and is also available from its various board partners or graphics card manufacturers with different cooler designs, features, and pricing. So, here I am going to list down the best RTX 2070 cards based on different factors for users with specific requirements.

EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Black GAMING
EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Black GAMING is one of the cheapest RTX 2070 cards that you can find in the market. The card comes with reference RTX 2070 GPU clock speeds, which is 1410 MHz for Base and 1620 MHz for Boost. The cost-cutting is evident from the fact that the card comes without any metal backplate and the heatsink is also pretty basic without any heat pipes. However, it comes with dual fans with Hydro-Dynamic Bearings (HDB) and they keep the temperatures in check and do not let the card overheat. The card also lacks any kind of RGB lighting and modes.
This is also one of the low power RTX 2070 cards as it requires only one 8-pin PCI-E power connector and has a power consumption figure of 175 Watts only. The card is dual slot in design which means it consumes two slots on your motherboard and PC case. You can overclock this card to higher frequencies using the EVGA Precision X1 overclocking utility and extract extra performance out of it. The recommended power supply for this card is 550W and on the rear side, you will find two DisplayPort, one HDMI port, one DVI port, and a USB Type-C connector. So, if you are on a budget and looking for a cheap RTX 2070 card then I highly recommend this one.

Best Dual Fan RTX 2070
MSI GeForce RTX 2070 GAMING Z 8G
The title for the best and fastest dual-fan RTX 2070 card goes to MSI GeForce RTX 2070 GAMING Z 8G. This is a very powerful and feature rich RTX 2070 card from MSI and it comes with a Boost clock of 1830 MHz. For cooling, it comes with TWIN FROZR 7 Thermal Design that features heatsink with concentrated heat pipes, copper base-plate, wave-curved fins, and twin TORX 3.0 fans with Dispersion and Traditional fan blades for providing ultimate cooling performance. The card also features ZERO FROZR technology that completely stops the fans when the temperature is under 60°C and making the card completely silent during idle, multimedia, or light gaming, but when the temperature goes above the threshold value during heavy load or gaming then fans starts automatically and provides card adequate cooling. The card does come with two fans only but it is a 2.5 slot card and eats up 3 slots on your motherboard and computer case.
The card also comes with RGB LED lighting that can be synchronized using MSI Mystic Light RGB software. To give the card strength and rigidity it has got a metal backplate that holds the card PCB strongly and prevents it from bending. It is a relatively power-hungry card that has power consumption of 225W and requires one 8-pin and one 6-pin PCI-E connector. The recommended PSU for this card is 550W but I would rather suggest going for a 600W power supply. ASUS TURBO RTX 2070 8G
If you are looking for a single fan RTX 2070 with blower style cooling then ASUS TURBO RTX 2070 8G is the card for you. The blower fan style cooler of this card pushes the hot air out from the rear vents of the card and nothing is expelled inside the case. Ive been reading up and looking for an RTX gpu. My budget doesn’t stretch to the 2080’s plus I don’t think I can really justify one. There are 2 cards that have grabbed my attention. Both Being Asus Rog Strixs cards. One is the Advanced clocking and the other is Overclocked edition. The overclocked edition rates higher boosts speeds than the advanced card but comes in cheaper and cannot work out why.
That is quite a mystery for me too. May be they have used binned chips (better quality) in the advanced edition.
