Best RX 5600 XT Cards for 1080p & 1440p Gaming [Custom AIB Models]

If you are looking for an ultimate 1080 gaming graphics card that is also good enough for 1440p gaming, then Radeon RX 5600 XT is a great option. It is a powerful mid-range graphics card from AMD that is positioned between the Radeon RX 5500 XT and the RX 5700 in the Radeon RX 5000 GPU series. The card competes with RTX 2060, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, and GTX 1660 SUPER, which are mid-range graphics cards from Nvidia based on the Turing GPU architecture. RX 5600 XT beats the RTX 2060 in most of the games and also costs less. It even comes very close to the performance of the RX 5700, which is priced relatively higher. On RX 5600 XT, you can play the latest AAA games on 1080p at Ultra settings with 80 FPS or more (in most games) and up to 120 FPS in eSports games. It is also a very capable card for 1440p gaming too, and on very high graphics settings, you can easily get 60 FPS on average.

Radeon RX 5600 XT is built on the 7nm process and is powered by AMD’s latest RDNA architecture. It uses the cutdown version of the Navi 10 GPU, which is the same GPU used in the Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700, but with more unlocked cores. The card comes with 2304 Stream Processors and 6GB GDDR6 memory, running at 12Gbps and having 192-bit interface. The card uses the latest PCIe 4.0 interface and supports features such as FreeSync, Radeon Image Sharpening, Radeon Anti-lag, Radeon Boost, and APIs that include DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.6, and Vulkan. The card uses one 8-pin PCIe connector for power (reference design) and has a power consumption of 150W TBP (total board power). It is available from different authorized board partners in different models having different coolers, clock speed, form factor, power consumption, and extra features such as RGB lighting. So, here I am going to list down the best custom RX 5600 XT cards for your specific requirements.

Best RX 5600 XT (Overall)

Sapphire PULSE RX 5600 XT 6G GDDR6

[Best Value for Money, Silent, Build Quality, Dual BIOS, Semi-passive cooling]

SAPPHIRE PULSE RX 5600 XT is unarguably the best Radeon RX 5600 XT card you can buy. The card has got it all, whether it is performance, build quality, cooling, silent operation, or the features. It has got Game Clock of 1615 MHz and Boost Clock up to 1750 MHz. The card comes with the same Radeon RX 5700 cooler on it, which means it can handle overclocking very well and will remain super stable, even during full load. The Dual-X Cooling system on this card comes with a large fin array aluminum heatsink with three copper heatpipes and dual 95mm fans with ball bearings. This cooling system is pretty effective, and it keeps all of the major components of the card cool, i.e., GPU, VRAM, and VRAM, even at full load. The fans on this card are quick connect fans that are pretty easy to remove and replace because they don’t use cables, but a proprietary connector instead. The card also employs semi-passive cooling, where the fans only spin when there is a high load on the GPU and remain off when the GPU is idle or the load low. Also, the fans on this card are very quiet, even at full GPU load, and you can barely hear them. Moreover, the Dual BIOS lets you switch between the performance mode and silent mode, just by a slide of the switch.

The build quality of the card is great and uses an aluminum backplate that provides the card rigidity and looks very fancy too, because of the design and the colors used. The card supports TriXX Software that lets you tweak various settings, clock speeds, and monitor the performance. The TriXX Boost feature can help you to gain extra FPS in games by decreasing the in-game resolution and then applying the image sharpening so that you won’t lose on visual quality either. Sapphire PULSE RX 5600 XT is a 2.3 slot card, which means it covers more than two PCIe slots on the motherboard. The card has a rated power consumption figure of 160W, and it requires a single 8-pin PCIe connector for its working. Connectivity options include three DisplayPort and one HDMI port. The card is very affordable and costs slightly more than the reference RX 5600 XT.

Note: If somehow, your card does not come with new Video BIOS, then you can easily update to a newer vBIOS by downloading it from the link given below. The instructions and process on how to update to new VBIOS are also given there.

Best Dual Slot RX 5600 XT

PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon RX 5600 XT

[On Compact Side, Semi-passive Cooling, Dual BIOS]

PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon RX 5600 XT is a proper dual-slot RX 5600 XT graphics card that is relatively compact compared to other RX 5600 XT cards. The card is 240mm in length and can fit in most PC cases comfortably. It is an overclocked card and has got a Game clock of 1560 MHz and a Boost clock of 1620 MHz. The card comes with a slimmer heatsink (having vertical-aluminum-fin design) with five 6mm copper heatpipes and a copper GPU baseplate. The heatsink is cooled by two 100mm fans that come with dual ball bearings and are optimized for high static pressure. They do a great job of keeping the card’s temperature in check and are on the silent side. Moreover, The Mute Fan Technology ensures the card remain silent (0db noise) during medium to low load condition as long as the temperature remains under 60°C. When the temperature crosses this threshold value, they start automatically to keep the card cool. The card also features Dual BIOS that lets you switch between Ultra OC and Silent OC modes using a physical switch, depending on your requirements.

Fastest Dual Fan RX 5600 XT

Final Words

Radeon 5600 XT is no doubt a great card for the price for 1080p Ultra and 1440p Very High gaming. The card costs less than the RTX 2060 but delivers almost the same or better performance. It does lack Ray Tracing, which is an advantage for the RTX 2060. However, Ray Tracing is not a big deal for now because only a few games support it, and it severely impacts the game performance. RX 5600 XT also comes very close to the performance of the RX 5700 and makes it a better value card. The only thing that you should be careful about the RX 5600 XT card is that it should either come with the new vBIOS installed or the new vBIOS update is released by the manufacturer so that you can apply it yourself and gain extra performance from the card.
